The Silver, Rugs, and Decorative Arts Auction featured a well-curated selection of over 110 lots, including silver by important makers, fine rugs, Chinese export porcelain, and decorative arts from both local and national estates and private collections. Highlights included a rare autographed letter from George Washington to General Henry Knox from Mount Vernon, selling for $20,000, a collection of Armenian silver and pottery pieces, and a number of silver services by important 19th and 20th century makers. Rounding out the auction was a collection of room-size 19th century carpets, with an impressive Ziegler Sultanabad Carpet, ca. 1875, achieving a final price of $25,000.
