Sunday, January 30, 2022

The annual Fine Rugs and Carpets Auction featured a 172-lot selection of a vast variety of rugs and textiles. Over a third of the auction was filled with colorful and lyrical rugs from the Caucasus covering all the famous rug weaving villages including Kazak, Kuba, Shirvan, Akstafa, ChiChi, Daghestan, Marasalli, and more. The auction also contained over a dozen Heriz rugs, both room size and smaller. For the Turkoman enthusiast, the sale offered a wide array of collector rugs, including ten Azmalyks, two Main carpets, a fine Khalyk, and more.
