Fine Jewelry

Sunday, October 29, 2023

Grogan & Company’s fall Fine Jewelry auction took place on Sunday, October 29, 2023, and featured 163 lots of highly-curated named and rare pieces. The auction was led by a cabochon Burmese ruby bracelet that sold for $37,500, followed by an unmounted VS2 diamond selling for $28,125. Signed period pieces from makers including Tiffany & Co., Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels, including Schlumberger and Elsa Peretti for Tifffany & Co., drove the sell-through rate to 90%. The highlight of a stunning selection of men’s and women’s wristwatches, which included timepieces by Cartier, Patek Philippe, and Rolex, was an A. Lange and Söhne ‘1815 Up/Down Walter Lange’ wristwatch, selling for $19,500.
