The Fine Rugs and Carpets Auction on Sunday, June 12, featured a fine selection of collector’s rugs. The auction began with thirty-five rugs from the estate of the legendary art and antiques dealer, Peter Tillou of Litchfield, Connecticut, and ended with a collection of nearly sixty rugs from Dr. Douglas M. and Nelda K. Lay of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
