Condition: This is painted directly on some type of thin sheet of metal. The back is sealed with wood and we do not plan to disassemble it. Sounds like it could be copper or aluminum. The sheet is thin enough that it can be pushed. The surface is not flat - wavy.
The paint is in good condition - very small amount of craquelure in only the thickets paint areas. Minimal. Under u.v. light there are touch ups only, no large areas of restoration. Less than 2% overall. Nice thick brushstrokes.
