Grogan, "Between the attic and the basement, and all the rooms in between, we found surprises throughout the house."

Ms. Storer had a passion for music and showed her appreciation for the French Horn by endowing the second chair of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She was also a founding member of the MFA Associates and served on the board of the Handel and Haydn Society. Her philanthropic endeavors included thousands of hours of volunteer service at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital.

A descendent of Governor Bradford, she held leadership roles on the boards of many of the patriotic societies including the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants and the National Society of Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company.
