Provenance: Property of a Westwood, Massachusetts Lady.

Other Notes: The Buenos Ayrean was the first transatlantic steemship constructed entirely out of steel, built in 1880, by Wm. Denny & Bros., Dumbarton, Scotland. On her maiden voyage as part of the Montreal Ocean Steamship Company, she sailed from Glasgow to South America. In March 1880 she sailed from Glasgow to Halifax and Boston and in May 1880 she began her regular voyages from Glasgow to Quebec and Montreal. Her last voyage was from Glasgow to Portland on Jan 9, 1909.
