Property from a Prominent Massachusetts Family PAIR OF ITALIAN BAROQUE CARVED AND GILT ARMCHAIRS, 17th century; Provenance: Mr. Richard Dixey and Mrs. Ellen Tappen Dixey; by Desceddnt to Mrs. Rosamond Dixey Brooks and Mrs. MAry Aspinwall Tappen; by descent to the current owner; Note: This lot was originally in the private collection of the family's summer home, Tanglewood, now the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Since the time of the homes transfer to the BSO, the chairs have been on loan to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Art of Europe Department, 1941-2004
