Provenance: Harry Winston, Inc. New York donated to the American Bankers Association, New York, 1950; Mrs. Harrison M. Thomas, Princeton, New Jersey, by descent in the family to the current owner, Boston, Massachusetts.

Other Notes: This brooch was donated by Harry Winston, Inc. to the American Bankers Association in honor of their 75th Anniversary in 1950. It was given as a "door prize" at the women's luncheon. The lucky winner, Mrs. Harrison M. Thomas of Princeton, New Jersey, left the brooch to her daughter.

The brooch is accompanied by a copy of an article published in The American Banker dated September 27, 1950 showing an image of the brooch, as well as an image of Mrs. Thomas accepting the prize. It is also accompanied by an insurance appraisal executed by Harry Winston, Inc. and dated October 30, 1979.
