Other Notes: Regola delle cinque ordini d'architettura ("The Five Orders of Architecture") was written in 1562 by Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola. Today, it is still celebrated as one of the most successful architectural textbooks ever written. The book, which has been reprinted over 250 times, presents the five classical orders (Tuscan, Doric, Ionic, Corinthian, and Composite) and depicts elements such as the colonnade, arcade, pedestals, entablatures, and capitals for each order.
