FRENCH SCHOOL (19/20th century) SET OF EIGHT DRAWINGS DEPICTING SOLDIERS IN FRENCH MILITARY UNIFORMS pencil and gouache;

Condition: Giendarmerie: 1-2 small stains; 35 Regt: faint spotting throughout; 1 inch white stain, t.c.; Regt of Pompiers: overall good condition; 16 Chasseures: some staining, l.r. and c.l.; 58 Regt: minor discoloration and some gouache losses; Sargeant: mat burn; discoloration on bottom; some staining; 17th Regt: overall good condition; 3-4 minor fox marks; staining around figures from gouache; 9 Reg of Line: 1 fox mark; minor staining around figures and along bottom; red faded in jackets;
Assume all are mat burned; none have tears; removed one from frame- not laid down; paper trimmed to a triangular shape, not sure why
