Other Notes: The cartouches may be verses from the 13th century Persian poet Sa''di, which can be translated as:
This one person built by vanity
No one has been able to live in this world for ever
Whoever built a new house
At the end he left it to others

or
Whoever comes builds a new house
He passes on his knowledge of building to others
He who creates does it so for his pleasure
I have never lived in this house
