FEDERAL INLAID MAHOGANY TALL CASE CLOCK, New Jersey, Joakim Hill, maker, early 19th century
the seat board inscribed Joakim Hill, No. 77, January 14, 1811; with 8 day time and strike movement and with painted moon phase iron dial, second hand and calendar; height: 96 in.

Provenance: C. L. Prickett, Yardley, Pennsylvania; Property of a Duxbury, Massachusetts collector.


  • Condition: Case refinished. Possible minor restoration to veneer of from feet. Minor restoration to line inlay. Original painted steel dial with only minor in-painting. Moon phase paint original and all intact. Finials are period. Movement appears to be original and complete. Weights, pendulum, and key present.
