AIDEN LASSELL RIPLEY (American 1896-1969)


  • Provenance: Property of a Significant Maine Family, by descent from the original owner
  • Notes: The Pond Cover has been enjoyed by the same family for two generations. Ripley and the father of the original owner of the painting belonged to The Laurel Brook Club, a fishing club in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. The painting hung in Massachusetts with the original owner until 1994 when it was moved by his descendents to Maine, where it has been until today.
  • Condition: Overall very good condition - pristine. U.V. light - shows no evidence of restoration. Canvas is not lined and the paint surface is stable and in very good condition. No craquelure.
