AFTER MILLAR (18th century) VIEW OF THE ATTACK OF BUNKER'S HILL, WITH THE BURNING OF CHARLES TOWN, JUNE 17, 1775 engraving with hand coloring; drawn by Mr. Millar and engraved by John Lodge, circa 1781-1783; sight: 8 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches; Note: In James Stark's, Antique Views of Boston, edited by Theodore Thomte, 1967 edition, pg 168 states that their "View of the attack on Bunker Hill and the burning of Charlestown is reproduced from "Barnards History of England", and is considered a very rare print." Another example of this print bears the inscription: "Engraved for Barnard's New Completely Authentic History of England" and is currently in the collection of The William Clements Library at the University of Michigan. The print offered here does not contain this inscription.
