Fine Jewelry

Sunday, May 5, 2024

The spring fine jewelry auction sold over 150 lots with great success, and spirited bidding between the 3,230 registered bidders led to over $1.3 million in sales and a nearly 90% sell-through rate. The sale was led by Lot 28, a scroll and shield form brooch that centered an unheated 4.22 cts. Kashmir Sapphire that resulted in bidders from around the world pushing the it to sell for $437,500. Additional highlights from the sale included Lots 26 and 27, rare period pieces, with one-of-a-kind colored stones. Demand for signed pieces by known makers including Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and Tiffany & Co. showed just how strong the jewelry auction market continues to be.
