  • Provenance: The Collection of Mrs. Francis J. Oakes; by descent within her family.
  • Notes: Accompanied by a letter from John I. H. Baur (Director Emeritus, Whitney Museum of American Art, and author of Theodore Robinson, 1852-1896) dated July 27, 1981, stating I believe your watercolor is an early work by Theodore Robinson, probably done about 1881.
  • Condition: Mat burn around edges; one aprrox. 1/2 in. tear extending horizontally from upper right edge.
