Other Notes: Nanette Lederer Calder was the mother of the acclaimed American artist Alexander Calder. She studied at the Academie Julien and the Sorbonne from ca. 1888-1893, then returned to Philadelphia and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
