ca. 1920; comprising graduated natural pearls measuring 8.74 x 8.58 to 4.50 mm.; completed by a bezel-set marquise-cut diamond clasp weighing approx. 1.10 cts. set within an engraved gallery; signed J.E.C. & Co. and numbered indistinctly on clasp; 15.92 dwts.; lg. 19 in.

  • Provenance: By Descent in the duPont Family, Wilmington, Delaware.
  • Notes: Accompanied by GIA report no. 2215407081 dated January 20, 2021 stating that 70 pearls are natural, saltwater, pinctada species, and 1 pearl is a bead cultured pearl (pearl 43 from the clasp).
  • Condition: cultured pearl is 43rd from clasp (measures approx. 6.70 mm.); largest pearls in overall good condition with good, even luster; smallest pearls with some peeling and poor luster; largest pearl with peeling is approx. 7 mm.; diamond in clasp approx. J/K, SI2.
