  • Notes: The silversmith Georg Jensen (1866-1935) was instrumental in defining the character of twentieth-century Scandinavian design. He embraced the avant-garde Art Nouveau style, as exemplified in the Acorn pattern designed in 1915 by Johan Rohde. The organic and understated elegance of the Acorn pattern accentuates the shape and forms of the cutlery pieces, which in its heyday contained 220 individual pieces.
