  • Provenance: Property of an Orleans, Massachusetts Estate.
  • Notes: Pierre Cartier designed the first Tutti Frutti piece in 1901 for Queen Alexandra, who commissioned a special necklace to be worn with three Indian gowns she received as a gift. Accordingly, the Tutti Frutti collection is celebrated for its ideal balance of ‘East meets West.' The jewels in this motif are inspired by Mughal carvings and the intricate craftsmanship of India's decorative arts.
  • Condition: emeralds and rubies included; diamonds white and brilliant; some scratches to gold and platinum commensurate with age.
