  • Provenance: Provenance: By descent in the family of a cultural attache at the United States Embassy in Paris under Ambassador Amory Houghton, late 1940s.

    Soubrenie et Bois manufactured gold and silver evening bags, cigarette boxes, compacts, vanity cases, lighters, and lipstick cases for Lacloche and Boucheron in the 1950s-1970s.
  • Condition: overall good condition; ,slight flexibility to gold weave; diamond bright and eye clean; minor surface abrasions to gold commensurate with age and light wear; small dent on left side of bag (barely visible, can feel it when you run hands over that section).
