A Mendicant. An old man, dressed in a gray jacket and brown trousers, standing in nearly a front view, under an archway, with a staff in one hand, and his hat in the other. At some distance off may be noticed a party of travellers halting at an inn. A freely painted picture. 11 in. by 8 3/4 in. Sold in the collection of Edward Solly, Esq. 1834.

  • Condition: Restored vertical crack in board, 2 in. from right side.
