Michael B. Grogan


President & Chief Auctioneer

Mr. Grogan began his career in the art business in 1978 at Sotheby's, New York, when he joined them as a specialist in Oriental Carpets.  The following year he became head of the Oriental Carpets Department.  In June 1982, he was appointed Director of Sotheby's Arcade Auctions, in charge of organizing bi-weekly auctions of paintings, jewelry, furniture and decorative arts.  In January 1985, Mr. Grogan was appointed Director of Sotheby's Appraisal Company.  He left Sotheby's as a Vice-President of the firm in June of 1987 to establish Grogan & Company.  Mr. Grogan is a graduate of Boston College where he majored in Art History.

Appraisal Services
 

A graduate of the University of Vermont majoring in Art History, Ms. Grogan began her career at Sotheby's in New York, where she met Mr. Grogan.   Ms. Grogan wears many hats at Grogan & Company, including managing the Appraisal Department,  coordinating the auction staff and assisting with the cataloging of decorative arts. 

Hercules Pappachristos

Mr. Pappachristos is a 1981 graduate of Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire.  He majored in history and anthropology and has been working in the art and antiques field as an auctioneer, appraiser and dealer since 1989.  Mr. Pappachristos is currently an Independent Appraisal Consultant for Grogan & Company and assists with Estate services and Auction Management.  He is a member of the New Hampshire Antique Dealers Association and a Trustee of the Robert Frost Farm Museum. 

Allyson K. Lee


Marketing &
Fine Arts

 

Ms. Lee joined Grogan & Company in 1989 to create an in-house advertising and marketing department. Responsible for the photography and print production of the catalogues and advertising campaigns, Ms. Lee also began working with the Fine Arts Department as a cataloguer and Fine Arts Assistant in 1997.  Ms. Lee holds a Master of Arts Degree in Fine Art from Eastern Illinois University and an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design from Salem State College.
