Meetings & Membership

Membership is made up of the parents of student athletes and members of the community who wish to support youth sports.  New members are always welcome! Contact Bruce Miccelli, Katie Bradbury or Allyson Lee (contact info below) to find out when the next meeting will be.

2009-2010 Meetings will be held on these nights at 7:30 p.m. at Victory Lane on the following days: January 26, March 9 and May 11.

Mission Statement:

The Millis Booster Club is a non profit organization supporting Millis High School Athletic Programs. The Boosters hold several fundraisers each year. Proceeds from which are used to purchase Varsity Jackets and Letters, fund team requests, purchase needed equipment and scholarships. The Boosters have had the pleasure of awarding anywhere from 10-15 scholarships each year to graduating seniors.

2009-2010 Meeting Notes:

The Boosters have voted on providing the following grants:

$175 Ad for Football Progam
$1,200 for Sports/Awards 2009-2010 season
$254 for girls and boys basketball racks
$1,600 for girls soccer fan buses
$500 towards girls soccer Championship banquet
Fan buses for Girls Basketball playoffs
New display cases outside the gym
Banner renewal project

In addition, the Boosters have on reserve $3,000 for scholarships, $1,000 for golf tournament deposit, and $600 for Spring sports awards and barbecue.

Volunteers Needed!

Even if you cannot attend meetings, volunteers are always needed to help work the Concession stands at football games and other sporting events, as well as our annual golf tournament. If you are interested in coordinating volunteers for your athletes sport, please be in touch with Katie Bradbury. The coordinators responsibility includes stocking the stand and recruiting volunteers. We are currently looking for coordinators for Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Volleyball and Baseball. If you are interested in assisting with the golf tournament, please contact Mike O'Keefe, 508- 376-6035.

Scholarships:

Each year, the Booster Club awards 10-12 scholarships to graduating seniors. Applications are distributed through the guidance office with the scholarship packets.

Coaches:

The Millis Boosters accepts requests for team equipment. If your team is in need of something, please submit your request to Coach Grant for approval prior to our monthly meetings. For questions contact one of our members below.

Varsity Jackets:

Varsity Jackets are presented to Student Athletes by the Millis Boosters Club once they have earned two varsity letters. The varsity letters do not have to be in the same sport. The jackets are donated by the Boosters, therefore, they are free to eligible athletes. However, to receive a jacket, it must be ordered by the parent or athlete. If you are eligible to receive your jacket, please click here for a printable order form. Juniors wishing to have their jackets for their senior year, must order them at the beginning of the Spring Sports Season in order of receive them at the end of year Awards Night.
