CONGRATS - MOHAWK BASEBALL MAKES THE PLAYOFFS!

For the first time since the 1980's, Millis Baseball made it into the playoffs. In the first round of the Div. 4 south playoffs, 15th seed Millis downed 2nd seed Maimonides 1-0. Kyle Latosek pitched a no hitter, to move Millis to the quarter final round against 7th seed Harwich on Monday June 7 at  4pm in Harwich, Ma.  In the quarterfinals, Millis fell to Harwich, 11 to 4. The Mohawks, finished the year 10-12.

On April 21st the Millis Varsity Baseball team traveled on a charter bus to Cooperstown, New York with Natick's varsity team to play a scrimmage game. Tuesday morning the athletes travelled to legendary Doubleday Field where the weather was perfect and the field was in great condition. Both teams used wooden bats.  Highlights of the game included Andrew Martin's winning RBI with a well-executed suicide squeeze bunt.  Nick Hyman recorded the win on the mound, Jimmy Whitlow had an RBI double and Phil Gioa had two hits. Millis beat Natick 3-1.   Thank you to everyone who helped fundraise the trip and thank you to the Boosters for their donation toward the bus.
